The Gleet Net is a wholly and proudly Australian online publication.

At the start of the twenty-first century Australia finds itself with a media almost entirely owned by multinational conglomerates, who in their search for the largest market share have resolutely sought the story lead most likely to sell ... often at the expense of having a common sense response to events, and usually at the cost of losing a clear view of the big picture.

Gleet Net is a direct response to the Australian media scene. We aim to deliver no nonsense reporting, news analysis that requires both thumbs to be visible at all times, and large quantities of rich organic satiric humour at the expense of our elders and betters.
