A Classic Reborn: Galaga Legions

by Alex Rieneck

The history is simple. Back in the 1980's coin operated machines kick started the modern world of computers, funding research with a tsunami of coins. The names of the classic games are now legend and, standing equal with the very greatest of the all-time classics was GALAGA. The idea behind "Galaga" was simple, "Space Invaders" had been powered up and reborn.

Now GALAGA has been reinvented again this time by the people who remade the classic PACMAN into the amazingly good "PACMAN CE". GALAGA LEGIONS promises to at least equal that classic re-invention for simple unadulterated fun. "Legions" hits XBox Live this Wednesday 20th August and will be priced at 800 Microsoft points. Now that you have been primed, examine this fine in game footage.
